An early Georgian writing bureau / desk of excellent English oak construction. The moulded edge fall front, opening to reveal a stepped fitted interior of drawers and arcaded pigeon holes. The sliding cover giving access to the well. The 2 short over 2 long drawers below a waist moulding framed by double D moulding. Standing handsomely on large bun feet. A super piece of early 18th century crafts-manship, surviving in good condition. 37" wide. Circa 1725.

A cracking example of a Thames Valley double hoop stick back ash & elm Windsor chair. Typical of this region in form & construction are the plain spindles, ash hoops and generous elm saddle seat. Leg & stretcher turnings are also typical. The seat back is branded with the maker's name 'North & Sons ~ West Wycombe 1906' together with the frame makers initials ‘AH'

stamped on the curved top rail indicates the origin of this impressive
walnut "station masters" chair. The pierced & shaped back splat above a solid saddle seat,
standing on turned forelegs united by the ring turned cross stretcher. Late 19th century.

Having been fully re-upholstered in a very appropriate period style, with needlework type fabric, complete with studding & onion fringe. Fine crisp detailing is evident in the show wood with foliate & scroll carving to the moulded & channelled arms, legs & stretcher.

The downswept shaped arms with turned supports standing on straight cabriole turned front legs & pad feet. The seat now fully re-upholstered. In nice original condition with good colour & patination. This attractive oak back stool / side chair has survived
from the William & Mary period in remarkably good condition.
The scroll carved top rail with stamped decoration still
visible above a tall back with three moulded vertical rails.
The panelled seat sits on block & bobbin turned forelegs
with a conforming bobbin turned high stretcher. Just wonderful!

edge top above an arrangement of 3 shallow & 1 deep geometrically
moulded drawers. A highly sought after feature being the
rarely seen walnut facings to the drawers. Petite proportions,
rich colour & good condition. Circa 1700.

the late 17th century. The three panel moulded lid above
a similar design front. The lunette carved frieze above
moulded frame inlaid with holly and bog oak dog tooth design.
Supported on beautifully carved strap work stiles. Original
iron staple hinges & till. 48" wide. Circa 1680.
George I, richly patinated oak chair surviving from the
early 18th century in very good condition. The pierced vasular
back splat above a boarded seat with wavy seat rails. Single
turned high front stretcher. Circa 1725.
Late 17th boarded coffer with the refinement of a 3 panelled
front featuring original thumb lunette carving. Circa 1675.
George III period oak standing corner cabinet of difficult
to find petite proportions. The upper section with 13 pane
glazed single door enclosing shaped shelves. The lower cupboard
with twin panelled doors. Standing on bracket feet. Original
condition. Circa 1785.
A very nice original example of an early Georgian oak side
table. The four plank over sailing top above a single oak
lined frieze drawer. Standing on gentle cabriole legs terminating
in delightfully pointed pad feet. Good rich colour and wonderfully
preserved condition. Circa 1750.
Charles II ~ William & Mary period oak two part chest of
drawers. The typically early random arrangement of deep
and shallow geometrically moulded drawers. The particularly
luxury refinement at that time of walnut and "Jamaica wood"
inlays indicating the wealthy owners status, whose initials
are "branded" on both sections. Circa 1680.
Good George III period bureau of nice proportions, with
two short over two long oak lined drawers. Solidly constructed
with well figured oak of a rich golden colour. The fall
opening to reveal an arrangement of pigeon holes & drawers.
Very nicely shaped bracket feet and panelled back. Just
37" wide. Circa 1775.

just 39" wide. The front and sides with raised and fielded
panels. The base with one long drawer above shaped bracket
feet. The boarded top opening to reveal the till. Lovely
colour, patination and condition. Circa 1790.
A particularly nice and original oak, mahogany & walnut
Welsh dresser of the late George III period. The original
enclosed plate rack with wavy frieze surmounted by a moulded
cornice. The three shelves similarly moulded. The corbels
supported by baluster & ring turned columns. The mahogany
topped three section base with 3 drawers, the centre one
being serpentine moulded, over an arrangement of 3 further
drawers, flanked by 2 moulded edge panelled cupboards. Ebony
diamond escutcheons. Replacement handles. Each section separated
by the same split & applied baluster & ring turned columns.
The whole standing very well on shaped bracket plinths between
the column stops. The rich warm colour and modest proportions
of 5'6" wide x 7' high, make this dresser very easy to accommodate
in any situation.

A fabulous 17th century, Charles II period oak gate leg
table. The original six plank top of excellent grain and
colour with a single drawer & cupids bow shaped frieze.
The under carriage with column & ball turned legs and moulded
block stretchers. Measuring 571/2" x 47" with both leaves
in use it will seat up to six people. Circa 1660.

of petite proportions. The original planked top above a
single frieze drawer carved with initials & dated 1719.
Ring turned & moulded legs, moulded stretchers on original
cup feet. A particularly interesting feature is the discrete
re-use of much earlier timber in the gates ~ a collectors
delight!

A richly coloured & well patinated mid 17th century oak
coffer. The planked top above a 3 panel front with lunette
carved top rail & carved stiles. The central panel featuring
an arch with the owners initials within, flanked by diamond
pattern, centred with bog oak & beech inlay. The panelled
sides with conforming decoration. Interior complete with
till / candle box.
Rare to find such a nice pair of East Anglian elm carver
chairs & in super condition too. The top rail with ebony
inlaid panel above a three bobbin centre rail, ring turned
arm supports, standing on square tapering legs with ‘H'
stretchers. Circa 1800.
A fabulous early oak back stool / high back chair surviving
from the late 17th Century in marvelous & original condition.
The moulded slatted back with central fielded panel above
an inset panel seat. The top scrolled ears indicative of
the north Midlands area ~ Derbyshire / Lancashire / Cheshire.
The high front stretcher with bobbin turning, a feature
repeated on the forelegs. Circa 1690.
Charles II period (1660-1685) joined oak coffer. The three
panel moulded edge lid above a 2 panel front carved with
lozenge & floral work centred by a strap work carved frieze
& channelled stiles. Lovely dark aubergine colour & desirable
petite size of just 39" wide. Original staple with supporting
strap hinges.
18th century oak chest with the nice detail of fine double
D moulding around the arrangement of two over three graduated
drawers. The planked top with projecting ogee moulded edge.
Standing well on original shaped bracket feet. Nice proportions
measuring 36/38" wide x 38" tall. Lovely grain throughout
and rich colour. Circa 1740.
A particularly small - 35" high, George III period oak hanging
corner cupboard of splay front form. The double moulded
cornice over a single door with corresponding moulded double
panel design. The green painted interior with two shaped
shelves. Circa 1800.
A pair of ash, elm and fruitwood hoop back Windsor armchairs.
The shaped back splat and central turned roundel are very
typical of the Buckinghamshire area Circa 1840.
A good quality early George III period oak chest on chest
with lovely warm colour and in nice condition. The upper
section with a moulded cornice over the arrangement of cock
beaded drawers ~ two over three, complimented by the brushing
slide over three further drawers in the lower section and
all standing on ogee bracket feet. Solid oak throughout
including the drawer construction. Lovely proportions, being
a very easy to accommodate 5' 6" tall.
Early George II bureau, unusually of solid walnut. The fall
front opening to reveal a fitted interior with central cupboard
flanked by Doric pilasters enclosing secret compartments
with pigeon holes and drawers. The frieze drawer above two
short and two further long drawers with double D mouldings.

with a central cupboard flanked by arcaded pigeon holes
with an arrangement of drawers above. Note the wonderful

feet. Good colour. Late 18th century.
